I'm liking Grime more and more these days. But, not the aggressive bollocks that's trying to be like the American Gangster bullshit cock bollocks. That can fuck off and jump under a bus.

Could you add a few vowels and consonants in your next post, please?

I fink dat mayb u shd tak sme literary classez

Grime aint dead, don't care what anyone says, and grime isnt just a complete package, like you said it needs vocals and whatnot to be proper gimre, but it just doesnt, its like saying drum n bass isnt drum n bass without the amen break, its different, but its still drum n bass, i can quite happily listen to grime beats from GOOD producers like maniac and silencer all day and not be bothered about them not having vocals, coz there still making good grime, and weather i've only knowticed recently or its only been happening in a short about of tiome, grimes really picked up in america, and most of that stuff is just beats

yee i hear wat ur sayin still, but wat i was tryna say is dat alot of people dat are into grime dont reely know wat its about, id say its a culture more den a music genre. but den agen if dey like da sound den y cant dey mek it.

and you said that you dont like the shit they be talkin over it, i do agree, BUT ISNT THAT WHAT GRIME IS?, grime definatly aint dead, in fact id say its gettin bigger by the minuite. around london neway nearly every teenager is n "mc". id say theres no such thing as 1 grime genre nemore.

grime beats tend to be quite innovative, but the production is sometimes incredibly shoddy with terrible off beat mcing. I guess it varies wildy from artist to artist.

yup, but in the end i guess it's a money problem more than anything. If you can't afford a good recording studio for your vocals it will probably shit on the whole track.

Conversely, I actually find that's what is attracting me to it. The cheap synth sounds and often dry as fuck production with questionable mix levels. I don't mind the chatter being sometimes off tempo, either. It reminds me that it's made in a bedroom and gives it some life.

same here, not that i know shit about grime really, but "The cheap synth sounds and often dry as fuck production with questionable mix levels" takes me back to 95 dancehall so quick i feel quite at ease.

lot´s of shit and a few gems. sort of disposable feel to it, like it´s current right now, gone tomorrow and that´s okay.

if the good shit does have the staying power of 95 dancehall, i´ll be checking back to it in 2020 propably.

I'm an MC, fresh outta Mayhem crew. Most of the people in to Dubstep might think Grime is bad because it is the same genre and it might be ripping off the genre. I am into both really!

EDIT: dont rite like this coz it mkes u luk lyk a lolcat

comin from my perspective over here in america, i doubt grime will take off as some expect, nothing against grime its jus that the slang and accent is to foreign to these lazy ass american ears, (not all but some american ears) if they dont understand di singa man dem like beres hammond den people like wiley and kano and the streets and all dont stand ah snowballs chance in hell, me personally i like da grime. lately it has taken the route of commercial hip hop in america, but jus like our hip hop there is the true grime heads who are passionate about their skill/talent/kraft and are honest to god lyricist, of course capitalizim will whore out anything it can and the asshole 50 cents (or what ever the currency for cents is over there) "emcees" (notice the quotations) will get their unworthy shine in the light, im ah true hip hop, grime, garage, early dancehall head and i try my hardest to keep the spirit of it all intact im sure my tunes speak for theirselves, as for the im better den yu lyrics, i think thats jus all apart of any musikal genre that incorporates witty rhymes and rhyme schemes, its been that way since for ever and i doubt it will stop, as for the "gangsta emcees" guntalkin, knife stabbin, "oh imma write ah angry rhyme bout yu cause yu looked at me in that tone of voice face ass" "o'l, my rhyme schemes are from the dr. seus library collection" "oh i was makin all dis money sellin poison to my own people and family yet for some reason i feel as tho i need to brag about it on ah mic, face ass" need to go back on the street corner if it was so lucrative. i jus find it hard to believe thugs are tech savy and jus got studio equip layin round. maybe thats jus me
