Tickets should be availible by the end of the week fromOne of the trailblazers of the burgeoning dubstep sound, Scuba was an anonymous name in the milieu until he was revealed as Paul Rose, the head of groundbreaking label Hotflush Recordings. With a catalogue of two dozen singles and 2007’s revered Space & Time compilation in its catalogue, Hotflush has been an incubator for artists not content to let the genre wallow within its boundaries: Boxcutter, Vaccine, Distance, Toasty, Slaughter Mob, Gravious, Marlow, Jazzsteppa and Scuba himself. Rose also curates three imprints, Abcus, Scuba and HF2, each exploring the nuances of a genre still pregnant with possibility. With appearances on three of the most important dubstep compilations to date – Science Faction Dubstep, Box of Dub and Hotflush’s own Space and Time – Scuba has been pivotal to the genre’s evolution. He now brings his delicate, intricate and crushing sounds to dance floors across Australia.
