Hello to anyone in Nottingham/Midlands area . . .we are starting a dubstep night called Heavyweight Rocksteady - first 1 is...

Thursday 8 Jun 2006 10til2 £4

at The Maze
Mansfield Road , Nottingham

Nottingham's first Dubstep night kicks off in a big way with the mighty Loefah and his box of hot plates . . also featuring Geiom, DJ Broken Silence and reggae from Highness sound system . . all delivered on a fat 6k rig provided by DSF.

Note that the highness selectors are bringing heavy dub and roots vibes at the start of the night and at the pre bar, to set the tone for the bass weight that will follow.....

midlands massive get yourselves along, this is only gonna be a banger if you lot make it so.....

Went to transmission in leeds over the weekend, and had a cool chat with walt who runs sweet potato sound system (the system for the dubstep room at both transmission and subdub). Very nice bloke indeed, and the system blew me away (literally, my baggy jeans were flapping with the SPL).
Im looking forward to experiencing what a 6k rig feels like in the maze as much as i am the event itself :twisted:

Just to let folks know we are having a little session tommorow night (Friday 2nd June) at Loggerheads - playing Reggae/Brasilian music and Dubstep - nice warm up for Loefah next week . . .
