A Question about Serato tagging methods?

Post by citizen » Wed Feb 27, 2008 1:28 pm

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but there isn't really a "DJing forum".

Ok, I've got a folder of recorded vinyl, and imported CDs on my external HD.
What is the fastest way to label/tag all of them, so that the track info appears when I import in to SSL?

I realised the first time that I imported some of the CDs into SSL, that the tags don't automatically appear.

Yes, I am aware of the itunes compatibility, but don't really want to get all my podcasts/low-res mp3s mixed up with my WAVs which will be strictly for DJing.

Whats the best/fastest way to tag all of my music? Surely there is a better technique than importing everything into SSL, and then having to listen through each track and manually enter the info in SSL!

Help!

I use iTunes... then reorganize all dubstep into a crate called 'dubstep all'

There is a way to make separate libraries for iTunes now too, so that only certain tunes and playlists will show up in serato depending on which one you use, but I dont remember how to do it...

www.scratchlive.net/forum is where I get most of my serato tips and tricks from...
