Haha, yeah its rubbish. It peaks in the first scene where brad pitt kills the big champion guy, and goes downhill from then on in... Waste

Liked them both, but over-rated i reckon.

Requiem just takes it too far in my opinion, just completely over the top ending - "Ass to ASS!" etc...

Good up till then though.

Actually, come to think of it American Psycho is hilarious, and pretty fucked up. Thumbs up from me.

10 pages, surely 'Eternal Sunshine...' has been mentioned?

Being a simpleton, I like films that are pretty straight forward and preferably based on reality or are slightly plausible.

There's a whole list of films I could cite but they would be ones I dislike and not really worthy of being considered a 'worst' film.

Film 4 where advertising it as an 80's cult classic. So i sat down to watch, i usually love 80's movies but fuck me this was the worst piece of shit i have ever seen.
Bad acting, no real plot and the worst special effects ever seen. Absolutely no redeeming features at all. Utter crap. The last time i listen to the Film 4 adverts. Give me back two hours you bastards.

oh man...

Repo man was a total waste, but the soundtrack (including camoes by the circle jerks) is classic...

and the scene around the trashcan fire has some classic quotes...

the john wayne part.. OMG classic! "I went to install 2 way mirrors.. and he came to the door in a dress"

I recon I might be missing something with American Psycho as other people seem to love it. I watched uit straight after reading the book though so that might have been why. I recon I'm a give it another chance.

regarding American Psycho:

the film doesn't do the book justice..on many fronts.
But then if some of the more prolific scenes in the book were in the film (which they should have been  ), i doubt it would have been allowed by the regulating/rating agency- before i read that i'd never have thought i could find written words which almost made me sick.

I think you are the first person who has ever agreed with me on that one.

Loved both of those films. Children of Men especially though, never seen a film like it. The atmosphere was completely unique, the actual characters were quite bland but everything that happened around them told a million stories.

American Psycho is an ok film, but can't possibly do the book justice, which I came to think of as one of the finest, most vitriolic satires ever and actually made me laugh out loud (yep, I'm a bit sick like that).

Repo Man is one of my fave movies, probably because it doesn't have much structure to it and just randomly goes about it's business until some sort of conclusion is reached. So many bits in it that I find funny, the banter about Diuretix could be the same as any with a mildly conspiratorial minded fuckhead (most free parties), the increasingly deranged car driver with his strange cargo who only eats from vending machines, the produce in stores reduced down to minimal packaging (beer, potato chips, etc), the punks humming Flight of the Valkyries after jacking the chemists, the way that the swearing has all been replaced with meaningless euphemisms ("flip you melon farmer" being one - apparently Cox was bored of swearing in films).

Mind you I like it for the genuine oddness, same reason I like some of Russ Meyer's films, so I suppose if you do like plots and structure it may not be for you, but shit there's far worse out there.
Hmm....

the action sequences in Children of Men were fucking phenomenal. the amount of planning that must've had to go into some of them is mind boggling

That scene when they are in a car and being chased! I'm sure the camera leaves the car and goes back in at several points, without a cut :o
