Fruity Rocks.

Post by bscorpio » Wed Mar 05, 2008 10:59 pm

have been using fruity for 7 years, it's very solid and has a damn fine sound engine, let alone being very fast...the only thing its not so good at is recording in live instruments, but for the rest it kicks. reason is nice but there's no direct X or VST plugins, kinda locks it up....unless they've changed that in the recent version...

Yeah, the last thing we want in here are fookin' copyright & patent LAWYERS - they're vile folk.

Smart crooks wouldn't talk in detail about a house burglary or big big dope deal on a forum, so let's use that kind of discretion when chatting about other less than legal shiz so the human sharks don't start circling wif their expensive suits & paperwork, alright? Let's keep this forum afloat for years to come. There's other places to discuss filesharing bidness (like www.zeropaid.com).

Yeah, you get them and you also get smaller commercial developers - people in one and two man firms just about making a living - who get inexplicably pissed off when they read about people stealing their products, too.

So yeah, best just not mention it.

FL studio is nice and easy to use, but the more I explore other programs, the more I see FL was my "practice girl"

FL was totally the same for me to.
Got comfortable using it, making tracks. Then moved onto somthn better.

Not saying you can't make decent choons in FL.
More meaning other platforms for making music are far more advanced.
While i was on FL, i didn't really learn much.

Just switching to Reason and using that, taught me a ton more.
And basically prepared me for making music in Logic or whatever.

Not saying i'm even good at this point. But i am well on my way, compared to using FL.

If your just gonna get warez, score Reason and Sonar or somthn.
Decide what you like and your comfortable with.
Then buy them IMO
i have read replies like this so many times and i still can't figure out just what sets logic or cubase apart from fl studio.
they are absolutely even-worthy, there is nothing that makes fl studio less powerful, less functional, less professional.

seriously, enlighten me...

ahhhh the age-old FL dissing... A tune is a tune, and if its done right no person in the world will know what sequencer was used.

dibbz 2 make wobble bass in fruity u need 2 connect ur pc 2 ur oven then tie a piece of string on2 the oven door and connect it to a blender

turn on the blender and turn on the oven and pc

the reverberations from the blender and the heat of the oven combined will create the bass sound u search for

Out of interest, the people saying to buy it proper, do you by principle never download anything illegally?

To find the ts404 or 3osc all you have to do is right click on the bank that comes up in the step sequencer and scroll and click on ts404, 3osc etc. Those are ok synths, can get some nice sounds out of em even though they can be limiting (as i like to sequence live and not bouce/resample).

to wobble easily in fl:

get your synth.
go to the misc tab.
right click filter cutoff (might be called mod X.)
press alt-o.
fuck around.

there, you have a wobble bass.

that took me two minutes to figure out myself, about the same amount of time it took you to decide to post asking how to do it.

sorry but if you can't be bothered to help yourself i don't know why i'm helping you. there's loads of posts about wobble in this forum, I even made a spastic-proof tutorial for it, which is buried somewhere. will dig it out and add to the bible

I can't remember the version I have, but I won't budge as I can only remember that the version up from mine was missing a few really good little knobs etc for some odd reason. They're included in my version.
The version up has some nice knobs also, but is lacking in the original ones...
