samson rubicons or krks?

Post by Lurka » Wed Mar 12, 2008 6:35 pm

can anyone help me with this as i have been producing with headfones since i started but everyone i speak to that is involved with production has urged me to move on to monitors.

i have narrowed it down to the samson rubicons and krk rokits

just trying to make the final choice as its a fair bit o cash to spend

also what audio interface should i get to compliment them?

cheers production heads!± :D :D :D

heard good things about the rubicons, probably best to compare them to the krk's in a shop if you can though

imo the rokits (which i use) are a bit fatiguing on the ears after a while

lawl,

So i guess you support how China pay's there workers nothing.
How China puts others out of bussiness by making garbage and selling it cheap.
How China has no objection to adding poison ie: lead and such to there products so they can make them cheaper.

I'm a Racist cause i dont like those type of business practice. hahahaha

I wont support China taking over the global economy.
By mass producing garbage and selling it for cheap.
Basically slave laboring there workers to make it even cheaper.

I guess those type of things don't really matter to you.
Go China!

Welcome to Babylon, enjoy your stay.

My bru's wife is Chinese.

Get to hear about this stuff all the time.
As some of her family is still there.

Kinda a sore spot for me considering what they are doing to people and the world...

Sorry for the rant.

I really try to.

Live in Cali, US
Most everything is either made in China or Twiawan.

So i avoid it as much as i can.

I sorta relate the people who buy stuff from them without considering the effect it has.

As the same people who are way to pumped on buying diamonds, knowing full well the genocide it creates in Africa.

All ranted out,

Apologies to the OP, for thread hijack.

heard some really good things about the Samsons

sound on sound's bottom line:
"There are probably only four or five active monitors that I'd entertain for anything like serious studio use at under £400 per pair in the UK, but I'd have to add the Rubicons to this list. As they're so inexpensive, I'd go for the larger 6A if given a choice, but in the smaller studio the 5A certainly won't disappoint"

plus agree with the post above that KRKs tend to fatigue my ears - its generally the way they represent frequencies higher up the range

the rub's sound better than the krks without a doubt.

take a CD down to Turnkey and listen to them for yourself.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
