i think it shows how vunerable we all are, which is why an understanding of history is important, i mean you just need to look at people who watch and eat up television eg skins, hollyoaks, east enders and you can see them emulate it in a certain way. or people who read the sun and treat it as fact.

aye i did say that in the first place, whilst it shows that the person was willing to be cruel, no actual cruelty took place as physical harm was not actually inflicted, whereas in the ones on this list it clearly was, i see what you are saying though
I was just lazy and didn't read your post properly.

It's called preparing them for forums.

in fact no i wouldn't. that forced sexual reassignment one is just horrible... as recent as '89. and the fact that the head of the study is now in a respectable post in psychiatry shows just how fucked south africa is. and that syphilis one is horrible too, getting people to infect their spouses without even knowing it. i'll stop commenting on them there.... i despair for humanity far too often for my liking

innit, people are fucked, i find myself increasingly disgusted with people as a whole as each day goes by, for multiple reasons

yeah but its important too look at it to realise what can happen, enlightenment is education, if you know these studies/(problems in general) your bullshit detector is more polished - i mean would you fool for it?

that would be a valid point except for the fact that education has clearly not worked before in these cases - for example, people across the world are educated on the horrors of the holocaust as a caution from history and to prevent future atrocities - however despite this, genocides and other similar tragedies continue

That was a horrible, interesting read...

Have you all seen that video of all the US troops on acid? Fucking crack up... But when you think about it, if you were unknowingly given psycoactives it would be that fucking scary... Although some of them I remember were pissing themselves laughing trying to operate a bazooka.. I'll try to dig it up if anyone hasn't seen it...

Re: the Japanese experiments, source-Wikipedia

At the end of the war, MacArthur secretly granted immunity to the physicians of Unit 731 in exchange for providing America with their research on biological warfare.

Reprehensible. Very uncomfortable reading, but also interesting, here's the rest of the page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

What sits most uncomfortably is that our society's understanding of science has no doubt benefited from the suffering of these people.

yeah but i mean thats out of peoples hands there is alot of distraction in todays world - television ect, allot of bullshit, again you have commented how you hate skins because it manipulates people i think it was 'bible for their lives' or somthing which is true and people arn't aware of what a usefull mind controll devise tv is and the only way to get round it is to show people - 'look this is fucking bullshit' it may never work but it defo wont if people with the bullshit detectors sit back and say 'you cant do anything about it'
in school you are allmost led to believe the gov't cares no end about you which would be true of some mp's but not others 'coff' tony blair who will shortly be taking a job in a bank,
i know im going out on a bit of a limb here but you can hopefully see what i mean - i mean theres no such thing as fate -
