Boy, I knew how to copy and paste back when I was using MS DOS and Works 2.0! :D

Highlight the link using your left mouse button, go to the "Edit" menu and select copy. Open a new browser window, or delete the address in your address bar, place your cursor in the address bar and go to "Edit" and choose past.

Holding down 'Ctrl+X' when something is highlighted will copy, and 'Ctrl+V' will paste.

ok, heh, just for the record - yes - i do know how to cut and paste. :? The only trouble i was having was nobody told me to just copy part of the link. Hadn't had to do that before to get a mix.
Thank you very much to those who took the time to type out how to copy and paste though...
