HELP PLEASE: Massive is too Massive

Post by addict » Wed Mar 19, 2008 8:52 pm

Just started using massive more often and the reason i never used it before still bother's me. The bloody thing don't fit on my screen as you can see here:

Image

(sorry for the massive pic.

i've tried messing with display settings on the PC but it's already on a small one. i can get it all to fit on if i resize the screen but i'd have to use a magnifying glass to read sample names etc.

Anyone else have this problem, or have any idea how to solve it i'd very much appreciate it.[/u]

What's the size & resolution of your screen?
If you're working on a laptop, which I guess you are, you can still plug an external monitor. You can find an old, non flat-screen, 17" for very cheap if not for free.

no im not on a laptop, god no.(no offence inteneded to laptop users) its a 19" widescreen so it's strange, i can get it too fit if i set my display to, 1280 x 1024, but this is way too small and fuck's everything's shape up. At the moment it's on 1024 x 768

Wtf? 1024x768 on a 19"? Wonder no more.
Man I'm at 1600x1200

EDIT: don't know Fruity but there must be an option in the preferences panel allowing you to set the font size if you really can't read things. Still find it weird cause in Renoise even at the smallest size I can read things very clearly...

hmmmm this be very strange cap'n. mine won't even go to same res as yours, largest is 14 summit and that's still well small. I DO wear glasses and its small. maybe a case of putting it to the small one and changing font siz of PC and fruity if u can. P.S unrelated matter: i got renoise demo yesterday, what's it like man? Ive also got ableton, slowly becoming friends with it. Can;t beat fruity thou, simple, just looks like it's from a charity shop. ;)

Ain't strange. This is a video card matter. Anyway '14 summit' should be fine. Can you read things up in Windows at this res? If yes, set a different font size in Fruity (if you can't, switch to Renoise;), if no... don't know... try tweaking things in Windows. Never had that issue.

About Renoise... well it's all good. Might seem like a bit of a challenge if you're not used to trackers but all people I know who took time to learn the basics, abandonned their previous sequencer.

I used to run 1024 x 768 and had problems with 90% Of VSTs , massive including.

Now I run 1440 x 900 and I can have Massive & Albino open and still see both.

Its your resolution mate! I would show you a screenshot but it seems my Massive is corrupt!

yeh man its because fruityloops is using the wrapper.....get a bigger screen, you cant change the plug-ins resolution, its size is based on the screen res you are using.

anyway stop using fruityloops its shite. loads of people might hate me for saying that but i dont give a shit....its a peice of tnuc..... go and learn how to use a proper peice of kit!!!

sorry.

use a higher windows res to reduce the size.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I've decided to go back to Fruity from Cubase today as a little experiment to see if my workflow increases and I've encountered this same problem. My computer's already on it's highest resolution.

What's this about closing the browser and "top icon movage"!?
