over 30 dubstep events listed for june!

Post by seckle » Wed May 31, 2006 2:04 am

Breaking records right now! Hard to believe. This time two years ago there was maybe 2 to 4 nights a month and they were all in london. Big up to everyone and the whole Tempa/FWD>>/dmz crew for the hard graft when no one knew what this scene would turn into. Summer 06...BIG!

max!

well the Events Board doesn't hold a DATES section, as is the case on some other fora and is vv usefull.
the idea is that pple post partydates in advance asap so other promotors can check and take dates in account. also every new poster deletes old dates of the previous post. in this way the last post always is up to date and gives a brief overview of what is coming.

example : breakz.be
they could split up in UK, LOndon, Abroad parties eventueally..
would be cool to see an list of what is going on outside UK too.

i'd say that it's not a problem at all right now. at the dmz i went to, it was nearly 60/40 men to women. by the end of this summer, it'll be 40/60.

yeah there's def a lot more recently. On a side note that events section is gonna become a pain in the aris to check whats going on from this forum's perspective.

So I'm gonna casually bring it up again - add on a calender you click into each event listed on a particular date and read like a forum thread - much tidier and more user friendly than a seperate 'room' for events imo.

And it stops the necessity of bumpage. And at the bottom of the screen it would show upcoming events a predetermined period before the date they're on (like a calender would if birthdays were activated on it)

^Can you link me to an example of what you're talking about?

Most of the forum calendars i've seen are tiny little boxes. We've got so many dates coming in from all directions that a box design is going to be a mess.

Seen. Link me to one you like. We're open to all suggestions as long as they can cover international dates.

Yeah thats the best I've seen actually - the rest I've seen have the boxes too small, allbeit all on a single page (whereas this one you scroll down to view the whole calender).

Plus you can comment on the events (which I haven't seen on any of the others I've come across)
