Skream/Catch Me If You Can

Post by eufouria » Tue Apr 01, 2008 1:47 am

Hi quick intro I've been lurking on this site for about a month and really enjoy reading everything you all have to say and listening to the stuff you guys are posting.

The other weekend i was watching Catch Me if You Can for the first time and noticed the soundtrack sounded really familiar. So i searched my computer for something that sounded like it and realized it was Skreams opening to Midnight Request Line.

I made a youtube video comparing the 2.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB8Sld0-a1k

Personally i think its just coincedence that they sound similar and thought it was kindof interesting I'm not saying Skream copied it in any way.

Thanks for taking a look,

-Eufouria

its funny you say you don't skream ripped the film in your post, and yet at the end of that video it says 'Coinidence? You decide.' Which pretty much implies you think it's more than a coincidence. Why don't you just say, hey, everyone, I think skream ripped off this film! I'd have more respect.

P.s. yeah the resemblance is funny but it's three fucking notes, is it not?

 And why would you make this?

To frame Skream and make him look like he intentionally copied it?
This has already been done, and everybody knows it is a coinsidence. Maybe the notes sound the same, but its not a siren to target the guy man.

who gives a crap midnight request line almost single handedly brought dubstep to the fore. probably the most important tune to ever happen to dubstep.

I think thats a bit of a shot in the dark...

and besides most forms of underground music are sample based so even if it was, its doesn't mean a thing. Some of the most heart wrenching, spin tingling intros on plastic have been stolen from films...

the great hollywood soundtrack sample game, get your hat on - theres bloody loads, and it's doesn't necessary make an artist less or more creditable. Lets just allow it.

Why make a very pointless video on Skream? ? ? ? Have you not nothing else better to do with your time hey????

Pisses me off people trying to merk big artists nowadays!!

Midnight request line is a heavy tune! Regardless!!!
