I have learnt something from painting with elephants:
Prior to a night on the town,
one should fast for a week,
flush toxins with an enema,
meditate at sunset
drink filtered water,
sweat it out in a sauna
then invest in a massage,
sleep for eight and a half hours on a magnetic matress and
reject all sexual advances.

Whatever you do next is irrelevant because you're godlike. :k:

Awhile ago I could've written what Shonk did:

"Is it just me or is bass in itself not exactly that interesting without something clever over the top (you know, like a structure, tune, that sort of thing). If people are really tripping out over indiscriminate low frequencies, I'd rather be amongst drug connoiseurs."

It rings true and logical but, strangely, I find meself mindlessly entranced by the boomstep behind any old dubstep tripe. And yeah, it's disconcerting to not need a stimulant to do so.

Serious like Depression. I know people who were all into MDMA pills, cocaine and now they're clinically depressed and jaded, they have no motivation and are depressed and feel worthless. All of those hard drugs they used changed their brain, all of those chemicals you're putting in your body change your brain for the worse, you might think everything is good but wait a few years when the effects kick in. Stay healthy folks.

right and drinking and blunts don't do that?? the point of my original post was not to deny some (not all) of the truth in your post, but merely to point out a very prevalent double standard, that booze and weed are fine but everything else is eeeeevil

Dubstep is Dubstep.

Associate whatever you may, but the music remains music regardless of what "scene" any sort of music may be associcated with. :)

I think the high people get from dubstep lies in the bass, The music itself is a physical expierience, I don't really care if people are on drugs at a party. but in dubstep opposed to breakcore or dnb parties, there is no agression in the rave. The people may be wasted, but stay chill.

alcohol is the worst one of all them! It causes all sorts of social problems, let alone the serious health risks caused by long term alcohol abuse!

Just because it is both legal and socially acceptable to drink alcohol, does not mean that it is void of the added health and mental risks that illegal drugs have (including depression!).

I think the only way to avoid drugs seriously affecting your cognitive processes is either abstinence or moderation.

both sides of the arguement here are partially valid. The law doesnt suddenly make something perfect or evil...

i guess based on facts about potency, effects, etc...

its all down to personal discretion really, however much u feel is the right amount for you to take in a lifetime.

more to the point on this subject, i agree with whoever said "dubstep is dubstep" its music regardless of what drug is used by some or associated with the genre.

altho if der was any one drug dats universal here for the genre its probably weed, then alcohol or ket LOL

Make no mistake, I laugh at conspiracy theorists, get a job ffs. HOWEVER, the only reason alcohol and tobacco are legal is because there is an established economy behind them dating back before health and safety pr really mattered. If these were new drugs on the scene they would be illegal.

Drinking alcohol in particular is probably one of the worst mentioned so far because of it's addictiveness, long term mental damage and inherent social problems. Don't be fooled by it being legal has anything to do with it being more healthy for you than anything else mentioned in this thread (barring the obvious crack, heroin etc).
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

its a whole new topic to diverge into lol.

i am highly aware of the ignorance inforced in society by government, and alcohol and tobbacco are on the top 10 most dangerous drugs, etc..

but dangerous or not, its still comes down to "your own discretion"

no point singing songs bout wats good and whats not, everyones got der own opinion.
