i first heard dubstep in mid-2005 when a friend uploaded some Skream tracks on another forum. i, of course, immediately fell in love with the sound! it spoke to me more so than any other electronic music i've heard in years. i've been listening since then but have yet to go out to a live event. i figure the local weekly is a great place to start.
