You don't want to copy his sound really, come up with your own, it's the best way! Have fun experiment!
It moves you!

that sounds like a hoover sound.

That can be achieved easily with a synth that has pulse width modulation.

Set the oscillator shape to sawtooth and lfo/adsr to modulate the pulse width. Apply a bit of distortion and filtering for good measure. Your sample you posted sounded as if it had been highpass or band pass filtered...

If you don't have a synth with pulse width modulation, a similar effect can still be achieved. You will need a synth with at least two oscillators. Detune one oscillator by about 5 or 10 cents before adding distortion and filtering etc. The more oscillators the merrier. If you had six oscillators each detuned between 2 and 5 cents apart, you would have a super thick, rich sound which once distorted and filtered would sound similar to the sample you posted.

You could also use a touch of chorus, super tight delay (set between 10 to 100 milliseconds) or lfo modulated comb filtering to further phatten your sound....

Hope that helps?

Yeah, I know, I know. Thing is, you gotta branch out and make your own stuff. But I think what it basically is is just make it individual fly farts rather than a fly fart LFO. Just my opinion.

A few pointerss..

1. the sample your listening to has no low frequencies in it.. This is certainly due to being band pass or high pass filtered... Strap a filter across the output of your synth as an insert effect, then set the filter cut-off anywhere above 250Hz on high pass mode.

2. lower the amount/depth that the lfo modulates the pulse width modulation... Speed up the lfo further.. needs to be super fast (but not too fast!)..

3. Have a super fast attack on your amp envelope adsr and a medium short release time... When you trigger a note, the sound should kick in instantly. (The pulse width modulation will give it the electric vibe). When the note is released, you should hear the sound trail out slightly...
