Difficult to tell at times. I had a mate who we thought was just acting mental who had a few episodes where he just went proper fruit loop hatstand. One of them was when he decided to get naked and walk to work (in mid-December) to tell his boss about the evils of capitalism. The last major one was where he tried to set his flat on fire, and then thinking that might be a painful way to go contemplated cutting his dick off.

He was sectioned for a month and has now been diagnozed with schizo-affective disorder and early stages of schizophrenia.
