I'm not one for torturing, since I have too much empathy for living things.
But, for maximum emotional trauma, kill the people that the person holds most dear. Family, close friends, etc. When you do that, leave the heads in the person's house, and paint the walls in blood.
If I just want to kill somebody it's gonna be in a fight, but if it's not, I go the No Country For Old Men route.

I think for torture, it's all about pulling fingernails and/or teeth. Either that or cutting off your victims extremities and making said victim eat them would be pretty nasty too.

Hmmm...

If I was to torture and kill someone, I would most likely need the following:

400mg 99.5% pure dl-Alpha-Methylphenethylamine (Amphetamine)

200mg 99.5% pure 2,5-Dimethoxy-4-Methylamphetamine (DOM)

4 fl oz 99.5% pure Sulfuric Acid

2 dry oz 99.5% pure Sodium Hydroxide

1 exacto knife

1 rag

2 sections of rope.. No shorter than 2 feet in length.

Tie em up, force feed 30mg of DOM and 80mg of Amphetamine, gag em. Wait 4 hours. Make cuts on arms and legs. Alternate applications of sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide to the cuts. Re-administer doses of Amphetamine and DOM.

Repeat all steps until DOM and Amphetamine are depleted. If they are still alive, cut the shit out of em until they bleed to death.
