Dubstep awards? Future Underground awards??

Why cant we organise a board of representitives and organise, proper awards and shit for the next few years. It would be fun! It might give a bit of publicity to people workin hard in the scene and help it grow sumore?

It would probably be a load of bias rubbish, if it wasnt run proper, but if it was properly organised it could be good. There are enough people in the scene now. I think people who are working hard should get the recognition they deserve...

Its just a case of sorting a venue and a few people putting money together. Anyway might be a useless pipe dream but hey...

Heres a few ideas for awards:

best lable
best website
best forum
best dj
best mc (there aint many really hahaha)
best press
biggest anthem
biggest album
best new comer, dj, mc, producer
best dubplate cutter
best studio

add more if u like

i think the scene is still far too small, but thats my personal opinion...leaving it as a forum-vote and writeup would be much better....

fuck awards and the bullshit media hype surrounding em, most of em are about money and politics...

...how about we try and do things differently from other scenes as far as opening it up to a wider audience ???

i watched the origanisers of the Knowledge awards toil away for a year. it's a whole year's hard work, bare politics and costs loads of money (not makes it).

online awards, however, make much more sense.
