Dubstep at Reading - is there hope
Dubstep at Reading - is there hope
any hope of this? i suppose they don't announce lineups for smaller tents until later on.. and the Killers fans aren't really gona be up for much bass-weight-meditation
to be honest rage against the machine are gona be a story for the grandkids, and i'm gettin my GCSE results 2 days before so i might not be in a state to appreciate music..
still, is there just a little chance?

Doubt it very much.
Reading doesn't really cater for dj's, and if it did it wouldn't be dubstep, it'd be something along the lines of soulwax/simian mobile disco/digitalism etc. The dance tent is usually just terrible indie bands with synths, as opposed to plain old terrible indie bands on the other stages
. Only joking, kind of.
I'm going anyway, mainly because despite its shittiness I always have a good laugh with a few mates, plus I wouldn't miss ratm for the world. Hitting up bestival for the electronic side of things
.
GCSE results at reading..those were the days. I remember getting the phone call and writing them down on a piece of muddy paper i found on the floor. Good times.

I doubt dubstep (possibly skream or something similar at a stretch?) but there normally is something to keep you going in the dance tent.
I think I was particularly lucky, but the year I went I was blessed with DJ krust, rahzel, dj format, roots manuva, yoda, jurassic 5...goldie lookin chain!

Yeah I went that year. Was actually really good. The Roots and Dj Yoda played also. Haven't seen a similar line-up since. The Wiggle Baron wrote:

Wasn't that the year 50 cent got bottled off as well?
But to answer the question: judging on the last few years' line-ups, I'd be suprised if there was any dubstep.

First time I went to Reading was the day of my GCSE results. Picked them up and jumped straight in my mate's car to head down...got good results, sun was shining, celebratory joint with the car windows open...was a good day.bjackman wrote: i'm gettin my GCSE results 2 days before so i might not be in a state to appreciate music..
Reading and GCSEs is like one of those standard things everyone does innit. RitesEd G wrote:First time I went to Reading was the day of my GCSE results.
