"Where I understand that at 11 Hz we are liable to semi-amusing social embarrassment due to loss of control of the afflicted sphincter, other frequencies can produce liver damage and worse. Heating of internal organs and capillary rupture can result. "
"The photo right shows the demo unit was in an adjacent room with a enclosure built around it leading to the room where I, along with maybe a half-dozen others, sat and listened in total amazement. The room's walls, pictures and window literally shook for as long as test tones played. I'm not talking of the type tones that sounded boomy, distorted or even fake..."

This looks fantastic & brilliant..
But its in the wrong hands as this photo clearly shows...
Why would you want to play 'Eric blooming clapton' on electric guitar through it, All that hard graft & the best image they could show us showwing off there set is a electric guitar solo.. They could of selected anything to show the sub off visually..
My choice would have been Dillinja & Lemon D running a mock...

Thing is 8-bit..
I'm not sure if this is true so correct me if im wrong,
But when a c.d or any other digital format is produced the low & high frequencies that we can not hear are cut off, I dont know which frequnce's of hertz these are, But as humans we can not hear them low ones or high ones, we can only feel the Vibrations that they cause, I even think some Vinyl production cuts off the low & high frequncies...
So even if you have a megga low -10 hz sub bass, it aint going to be producing diddly squat if it aint recorded onto the c.d or vinyl source.. Its great for the live recording of tracks & you hear the full glory of a sine wave from your JUNO, or you have bad man bassist Aston "Family Man" Barrett popping over to play you a rydem. other than that its only reproducing the low end of the harmonic range...
Its all great for those fat boy producers that hear the boom selection of frequncies, but as a small punter buying my burial c.ds the whole sub bass bonanza is just a pipe dream...
Is that true?
or am I a knuckle head..

i would say the best person to ask on here is threnody as hes a mastermind at that kind of thing!
personally i understand that you get out what you put in -i know what you mean about the cd/vinyl issues with frequencies
ive had copies of tunes on cd that sound much fatter on wax
wouldnt like to even stab at an answer for that bro

this is why dbx (and other firms) made those "disco" enhancers for PAs, dunno if they get used much anymore (would love to find out they are) where a sub bass waveform is generated an octave below the original signal, you then feed that into yr subs & boom.
but yeah cds on a super rig like that seems silly, 20Hz - 20kHz of silly to me, but from those pics, they got the deck setup next to one of the sub openings, eerrr can anyone say feedback ?
