FINLAND REPPIN' THE SOUND

Post by roko » Sat Jun 17, 2006 7:48 am

duuuudes! ZOMG

sorry if this sounds overhype as hell but I so can't help myself - just wanted ya'll to know that I can personally say that Finland is TRULY on the map of both Grime AND Dubstep after last nite...

Was my first Finnish dubstep/grime party myself, but talking to all my mates who have religiously gone to each other one, this party was the one to go above all the ones in the past - JAMMER, NECKLE MAN DEM, SHADETEK (OMG WHAT A LAPTOP SET!, DEADBOYS MASSIVE (FIN!) all of them rocked it soooo hard... and having gone to Straight Outta Bethnal enough times to say, the vibe was just like back in London... People raving it out full on, rowdy as hell, Shadetek and Neckle Camp totally blew up the whole house, lol obviously Murkle Man Outburst got rewound around 5 times in a row, they couldn't even hit the first bar and people were so hype it had to be done again n again! Same went for the Slew Dem Gun Riddem... bare rewinds all the way thru!

I for one can say that I'm extremely happy for this scene to have hit Finland already on this scale and there to have been even ONE party with a vibe, crowd & performance like this...

Gotta big up all the people that made their way down, all London&US man dem, Deadboys (you totally rock and rep Finland on the map of G&D!!) I hope the thing keeps growing and more crews, MC's, producers, DJ's and parties keep poppin up!

IT'S HERE! Stay tuned for some quality Finnish production also on both sides of the scene!

      8) 8) 8)

I was there and yes it was crazy. I was shocked how so many people were so into it!
Is it just me or the sound quality was crap from time to time (no trembles, and overall staturated) ?

Big up to Finland heads, I'm keeping my thumps up for future parties.
There will defenetly be some dubstep vibes next month in
Rovaniemi when I pack my (record) bags and fly over for holidays.

Think anyone who has started with going to DMZ and FWD is spoiled with soundsystems...after those nothing else just sound as good :P

That was SICK! Probably the best nights of my entire life.
Big up Dead Boys Massive for making this happen.

Post by roko » Mon Jun 19, 2006 9:33 pm

yihhh

glad to see someone actually posted in this thread, just checked it now hahah i thought it'd be "big up fanu" and thats it for the whole thread

i cant wait to see more of this happening in finland, would be very willing to do some work to get more parties like this going in finland!! I'd love all of us grime/dubstep heads around the finland area to get networked properly and share the love, spread the sound! big tings ahead :o

makes me very happy to move back to Helsinki and experience gigs such as the 6. Linja Shitmat extravaganza and now this Jammer... things poppin big time! Lets keep it going, it dont need to be that this is a rare thing to happen here :D
