Hmm....

i bought this and a logic controller when i first got my real studio equipment....only to have a few months later no more pc support!
still used it as much as possible until recently when i've nearly made a total switch to ableton(with fruity for when i'm making beats which need groove templates).. love logic but the out of date audio manipulation features(compared to ableton or cubase 3)delay problems with plugins and busses/auxes and out of date VST engine etc.. was hindering my production side of things..
if i had a mac it would probably be a whole different story..

Yeah you do need to get creative with workarounds I found. I wasn't aware that newer versions you don't need to bounce in real time (or did I hear this wrong), would save ages on mixdownsJesta wrote:i bought this and a logic controller when i first got my real studio equipment....only to have a few months later no more pc support!

u heard right. that was already the case in L6. i never even seen a copy of L5, but i'm guessing its VERY different to what ppl r using now; the changes (mostly just in ease of use) since L6 r already pretty major.Shonky wrote:I wasn't aware that newer versions you don't need to bounce in real time (or did I hear this wrong), would save ages on mixdowns
Refer to the screenshot someone made, you need to keep your mouse button pressed on for some (i remember it needed 1.5 seconds on an old PIII) and then a menu will appear, then you can load them. If you can't see VSTs, you should see the internal logic machines. If you don't see them, something has gone bad with the installation process. I remember it happened to me and its some nasty windows registry mess, I could recover from this error only formatting and reinstalling the whole!bebop wrote:thanks 4 the help but still cant get it to work...cixxxj wrote:I used it for a long time while working on some projects done by different people in a studio. The very positive note is it works like a charm reading audio even on slow harddisks, but you better not mess too much with environment and automation or you gotta get crashes every like five minutes
cixxx any help on loading plugins?
i got them already installed

nah its not so different...its more "design" now; but some things i really need bad for 5.5 are implemented like channel strips and dragging fx/vsts from one channel to another ... damn i need that...Battle Gong wrote:u heard right. that was already the case in L6. i never even seen a copy of L5, but i'm guessing its VERY different to what ppl r using now; the changes (mostly just in ease of use) since L6 r already pretty major.Shonky wrote:I wasn't aware that newer versions you don't need to bounce in real time (or did I hear this wrong), would save ages on mixdowns
