My favourite, ok, one of favourites is

TIME'S UP by O.C.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSw-9wCf ... re=related

as someone onyoutube comments 'one of the most slept on rappers EVER'

no joke.

Solid solid beat
impeccable flow - utterly ridiculous
line after line is killa

lyrical content that summed up rappers at the time, how they are and how they should be.

the head nodders video

line after line is killa

So So So good.

You can't argue with the calibre of this tune

So why you pushin it? Why you lyin for? I know where you live
I know your folks, you was a sucka as a kid
Your persona's drama, that you acquired in high school in actin class
Your whole aura is plexi-glass
What's-her-face told me you shot this kid last week in the park
That's a lie, you was in church with your moms

Of course we gotta pay rent, so money connects, but uhh
I'd rather be broke and have a whole lot of respect
It's the principal of it, I get a rush when I bust
some dope lines oral, that maybe somebody'll quote

Nuthin' But a G Thang - Dr. Dre

I Wanna Get High - Cypress Hill

Practice Looking Hard - E-40

Reminiscing on some 90's West Coast shit.

Yes mate

He was a bit slept on but no other track on 'Word...Life' lives up to the structure and patterns on 'Time's Up'.

Damn man, I though Jewelz was an amazing album. Serious production from Premier, Showbiz and Buckwild on there.

O.C showed he was one of the best and there was some proper sick guest appearences from Bumpy Knucks too.

Honestly, I don't know about the albums. I've heard O.C. tunes here and there and they've been tight. I have heard what you are saying about none of his other tracks living up to the same standard of Time's Up from friends so am not so surprised by what you say. It's a shame tho, wouldn't you agree.

To my mind it would be very difficult to make tune of Time's up's standard. His delivery and poise is nothing but perfection. watch him perform it on live and he doesn't seem to capture what he did when he first recorded it.

To think he was talking about the standard of hip hop and rappers back then! Wonder what he think's now.

'supermaan that ho'
'I'll let you lick the lollipop'

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeez!

As a stand alone tune it's second to none.

The beat is so laid back whilst maintaining a hardcore edge. His lyrics are tough and battle. He actually says something.
