you wanna use that on some of my tunes??

Wicked, mate.

Thanks for the positive comments, and I´m really glad that you like it. Actually it might have been my collection of spring reverbs and tape echos (incl. the Schaller Echo Sound) but it´s actually all Reason (believe or not)! Smile

Holy crap mate! What you can do with reason continues to amaze me..but that just goes to show that its not about what u got but what u do with it..im sittin here with the Dangerous 2-bus summing box, its great but i would like to check out the tubetech when i come by with the Empirical Labs shit, ..and eh on friday bring some dvds (the more the marrier)--got sumn for ya aight!

Yea, it is. I can only thank my father for having such a great outboard collection. Here´s a picture of the custom DISA valve limiters:

Well, please remember that it´s all made in Reason. I can post the original Reason file, so you can try and tell the difference. Trust me, I´ve got tons of gear (and so does my father) but all of the tunes I have posted online dubstepforum.com have been made only in Reason. :)

No need for that mate. A good tune is a good tune is a good tune. Doesn;t matter about the equipment. Its how you use it innit. :D

The only problem i ever had with Reason is that when you mix things down they often sound a bit arse. But if you're gonna put em through decent outboard anyway then who cares.... after all its best to get on with making a tune rather than worryng about the minutiae of getting it sounding perfect. You can alwasy do that later eh?
is it?

NO.

only remark I can think of is that at times the srping 'verbs sound tiring to my ears. I usually find them more effective when they add an accent every other bar or so than on a complete beat.
Also, for me, there is too much going on in the song. I like it when a few sounds just morph or progress..
Perhaps it is just me though as I like my stuff rather minimal with a lot of space and only a few sounds that progress, know what I mean?

BASSLINE :o :o :o and thats all iv got to say on the matter. Keep it coming mate, v good stuff.
Just to throw my two cents into the whole "giving music away" debate thats raging here, i dont own any cd-j's or an mp3-j system, so even if you gave it away, id still be waiting on the vinyl release.

Hehehehehe, cheers! But any suggestions with regards to the mixdowns? My sound is quite different to other Dubstep-producers; i.e. much more compression, and really pumped and smacked. It might be because of my profession as a pro engineer, but I really focus a lot on my mixes, the dynamics and the overall volume output (VU). But would love some feedback, mate.

right, see you point. Might try to work some more with spring reverb on the snare, however, it´s an important part of making the drums so massive. Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback. Really nice to get some constructive feedback. Unfortunately I can´t promise you that I´ll change the arrangement or instrumentation of the tune with regards to keeping it more simple, as my sound always (since around 1994, 1995) have been very "busy" to some. :) I´m not planing to sound like other Dubstep tunes. ;)
