recommend me some tv series

Post by alfie » Sat May 31, 2008 6:06 pm

i've got two weeks with not a lot to do right now so was hoping to spend it lying in bed watching stuff all day, anyone got any recommendations for good series of any genre?

recently i've seen and liked the wire/trailer park boys/curb/dexter so anything along those lines would be good...

planning to download arrested development and the boondocks next

Entourage. Also heard The Shield is meant to be good but haven't ever seen it myself.

BARNEY.

Nah, but seriously, if you want something lighter, try The Vicar of Dibley. You've prolly seen it before, but if not, it's pretty damn funny.

Dexter

Twin Peaks

Prison Break

All of these have become addictions of mine. Swear i watched all of the one Firefly season in one night. Tv on your computer is an unhealthy thing.

Mad Men got excellent reviews, but I haven't got round to it yet.

I just finished the Sarah Connor Chronicles and that was good, after a dodgy first episode. It surprised me.

Deadwood is brilliant, Parson is spot on.

The Shield is also very good, it prob takes a season to get really into its stride, but from there on it is gripping.

BSG is still as good as any long running series.

The American Office is very good, skip the first series though as it is mostly remakes, it really gets going from the 2nd series.
