how do you do pullups?

been well confused about this recently. before i always used to just whip the record back and pull down the volume so it doesn't start playing again.

seems some people like to pull it up and then press the pause button so it sorta creaks when it comes to a halt

or even press the pause button before actually wheeling it so it grinds to a quick halt before you pull it up

basically on a getdarker video of DMZ [i'm too young to actually GO so i just watch and fantasize] one of the djs does a sick pullupyou can do that right?

i just wana perfect this most important of aspects of mixing dubstep
with loads of energy in it - i thought maybe he did it on a CDJ1000 coz
also what about cutting out the bass to avoid rumblage?

Get a metal bar, fix it about 5-6ft up between two solid walls. hold onto the bar with both hands a few inches apart, lift your legs off the ground and pull up.

When the crowd wants it grab the record off the deck, throw it at them, then start screaming and pulling your hair. After about a minute of that calmly put some jazz on, light a pipe and enjoy the melodies....

Pull-ups/ rewinds should be saved exclusively for DJ/producers who are dropping one of their own tracks, and it absolutely demolishes the soundsystem in the venue. Otherwise they're not really necessary kid.

pull it up then press stop and cut the bass out on yer mixer to stop it clipping the speakers

overhand, you want to do 'em about shoulder-width apart. underhand, you want your palms touching.

otherwise....don't. rule #1 is that someone else pulls the tune up, not you.

Or just pull back and press the stop button so it slows down and doesn't start playing again
