Dubstep documentary

Post by ben freeman » Wed Jun 11, 2008 4:57 am

Hey people,

I just wanted to fill everyone in on a project I have started filming. I am doing a documentary about Dubstep culture, appropriately called,"I am not OK!" and I have a teaser trailer up on Youtube, and later it will be on my website, http://www.brookwoodstreet.com. FYI, almost all the teaser footage will not be in the documentary, these are just some outtakes. I'm saving the really good shots for the feature. I will be doing a second trailer shortly, so look out for that one. (I do have some great non-dark as hell shots of Bun, when the lighting was blue, but it was super dark in there in the red light when I was shooting, also Youtube quality doesn't do it justice.) I will post outakes every time I take footage to give my potential audience hype about this project. Also I have recently bought a really nice digital audio recorder, so the sound will be much better in the future. I have Joe Nice 100% involved, and I will be following him on some of his tour dates. More info to follow. I will keep this a rolling thread, so check back for new footage.

I re-edited the footage so you can see what's happening when the lights turn red. The drawback is that everything looks ghostly with hardcore trails.....Acid Trip? Haaaa....

Plains, PA, but basically Wilkes-Barre, PA. The park is Kirby Park.

Yeah, whats the plan B? what are you planin to film?
I've filmed nights before and its a very interesting process, difficult to get good quality footage-mainly because of the lack of lighting but filming and editing could be great fun!!
film everythin...go everywhere..interview djs..crowd....have fun with it! :)

good luck
