PS3 Recommendations

My mate's just got a PS3 as part of some mobile phone deal, and wants to know a couple of good games to buy. I'm a 360 man, so I have no idea really. Obviously GTA 4 is a no brainer, but are there any other games you PS3 fanboys would consider 'essential purchases'?

I read a review of that in games tm, and it only got 5/10. Don't believe the hype apparently...

Haze werent all that, the mechanics werent too hot.. but the nectar system makes it well worth a renting.

Seen it played, liked the look of it as I dont own a PS3, but yeah rent the thing before making judgment.

I've got Haze too much hype for the final game.

Virtual Tennis is sick, Fifa 08 is good copies Pro a bit too much in my eyes, Motorstorm was getting caned.

Uncharted was a lot of fun, and CoD4 is excellent.

Some pretty decent games on the store as well, Riff Everyday Shooter in particular.

Virtua Tennis is proper fun with mates. Does get a bit boring being as awesome as me, though. (Shame it hasn't got online play, we got screwed there.)

Was massively hyped for Haze but I've been completely put off by all the bad reviews. Dude at Game told me it's good and the bad reviews are directed at Ubisoft for taking so long to put it out. Saying that, I'm reserving judgement until I've play it.

Resistance 2 FTW.. 60 players online, 8 players online co-op.. ohhh gaarrrrrsh.

I have NBA Street Homecourt too, looks boomshank, though I've not yet played it (haven't been on the PS3 in two months, got about 7 games still sealed.. it's a travesty.)
