Yeah, cos that's exactly what you get with Blu-ray.
And please shut up about fanboyism.. I've hardly said anything in this thread, stated about one fact. I could quite easily say the same thing about you and the 360 the way you yap on, couldn't give two whether you've got a PS3 or not.

Don't read my shit then.

Blu-ray is a product though that you have to physically buy and costs alot more than a digital download because of its over heads. But alas, when you have 20mb cable you can do a whole gb in an hour or two.

What I'm saying is, Blu-ray movies aren't movies "in VC-1 (aka WMVHD) at 720p, 6.8Mbps video with 5.1 surround". Simple things. End of discussion.
Might as well compare a decent VHS with a DVD..

datura wrote:At the moment the Xbox has more good games, the PS3 is still in it’s infancy as a console and the killer IPs are only just starting to come out now.
Currently the XBL service is far better stocked and established then the PSN, although it is a pay service. The PSN is also particularly bad for demos etc, the XBL service is generally far better for that. In addition the inclusion of demos for all the XBLA games is something the PSN games are severely lacking.
For the future, I think the PS3 is your best bet with things like Home and Play Tv, will be very good and they are looking beyond the machine as simply a games player and of course there is the bluray player as well.

Seriously, stfu.
If you're gonna quote anyone, quote me. You're the one "bored" with my "tedious playstation fanboyism", you're chatting unwarranted shite.. where have I been anything less than factual? What have I even said in this thread?
Why does it even matter to you? Fucks sake..
Long, first day at work, granted. But idiocy fucks me off.

Yeh but for what it is, its a downloadable product. Just imagine someone on a 2mb line trying to download a HD movie....

i don't have either console but this thread is so long.
allow arguing about games consoles with facts about movie quality or whatnot. Ultimate geekdom.
Both console have merits imo, both have flaws as well. Depends what you are after.

Out of interest, has anyone actually bought any BluRay films? I quite want to see what it looks like on the HDTV but bought an initial package without any bundled and haven't really found any films I would want to buy bluray.

360 pads are ghetto
who thought it'd be a good idea to have the analogue sticks at different angles? i dunno about all the 360 owners, but i'm not jim davidson, and my hands are the same on both sides.
RROD, paying to play online, console scratching disks, having to buy a lot of extra equipment, supporting microsoft, shit control pads and unsightlyness are all great reasons to not buy a 360.
anyway
i'm sticking with N64, PS2, Megadrive, Gamecube and PC gaming until the PS3 comes down to a realistic price.

360 pads are mint. fair enough the sticks are not at equal angles. but ive never once found that a bad thing. i find them much comfier to use than ps3 pads.

This. The different angled analogue sticks make playing far more comfertable on the 360 than on the ps3.
