this would be amazing if the mixdown was better, nice work but try EQing all the sounds to give them their own frequency space, its sounding pretty muddy right now. i would LOVE to hear this properly mixed!! keep at it and i hope you work on this some more!! almost there

Thanks lads for all the appreciation. I agree with EMU the mix and EQing is not great - Good spot thx. This was my first dub/song i've created for this forum, first of many :D

I'm open to suggestions for other songs to tinge with the dirty bass stick.
(I realise some people would probably be against bringing popular songs here but hey, its fun)

^^ What he said. I was considering playing this out, but when I had a look at the waveform, it was clear that this would never sound good on a large system. Maybe try and filter some of the low and high frequencies out of the original sample, that leaves more room for your own production.

Exactly what EMU said again, this is the lick but the mix is mucky. I really want to play this..

I love the original and this is like a nice overlay treatment. Agreed on all the mix points but at the same time i feel like you could muck it up more and go for the opposite aesthetic...lofi for the small room. dont listen to geezers like me though.
