Yes sir I hope the title isn't to obvious. Thank you for the complement. I'll have a more polished version later this week but I'm off to work right now.

thanks again!

I'm going to make a trimmed down version as well, I know 14 minutes is kind of useless for a mix, I didn't realize how long it had gotten until I had the song all laid out and I just said fuck it.

very melodic, im listening to some of your other beats. i seem to be saying the same thing to many people. but... where is the low end sub bass. it's very minimal. what are u using to generate low ends???

hmmmm. I have some very low end in the new version of this track (see response posted above for Status Quo [revision 2] and skip 5:20 into the track) and as well a number of my other tracks. I don't follow a specific formula for my music, but most of the tracks by me on our site have some pretty low end bass. If by low end you mean several octaves below normal, can't be heard at all on dinky speakers. I'm a big fan of bass, and I usually try to incorporate it, but sometimes I don't, oh well. Sometimes I use polysynths that have multiple voices, ie they have a low end and a high end, but if you're listening on a system with some bass you'll be able to hear the low end.

and as I'm sure 99.5% of dubstepforum users consider themselves DJs, by all means tweak your eq's bass up a bit if you want more.

Ah. Understood. I will see what I can do to sub it up it and get back to you. Would such a mix be preferable to one that is shorter. Or is short+sub good?

See if you like this better, I bumped up the basslines' eq under 90 hz as far as I could without clipping the shit out of it. Most of the bass was in the 90-110 range so there's quite a shift, now mostly 60-90 hz or so. I agree it does sound/feel better. Thanks for the tip.

How is Ingsoc treating you fellas?

the lows are much more full in this one. id also compress the high end of the kick or turn down the freq filter on it. i find it passes too much through the rest of the track. also, this sounds like a hip hop intrusmental to me. nice tho.

what is Ingsoc?

i mean 90,000 watts check out the pK services banner

Dont forget to comment in my thread

I feel ya. Nice setup. I'm more interested in production myself but I sure appreciate the soundboys when I go to an event. I figure I can handle everything up to the mixer, got to specialize somewhat.

I'll tweak it and get back to you. I really like the feedback. I've said it before and I'll say it again after I've heard something I've made 150 times I can't tell if it's total shit or really good.

Thanks for listening. We had about 5000 downloads of this track (of all versions) over the past week. I'm going to make one more revision to correct a few defects and shorten the track up, then it will be on to the next track.

Stay tuned, space cadets.

And here at last is a short mix. Now that I trimmed it down I thought of a few more changes and revisions, but we're almost ready to call it a final draft.
