Previously a Drum 'n' Bass producer known as Def Wish this London bred beat head got his producing fingers wet during the late 90s working with D'n'B labels Influential, and his own self entitled Def Wish Recordings. In 2001 he shipped off to the U.S and was fortunate enough to meet Innerlign in the local Austin D'n'B scene, the movement to the Tyrant era had begun, the duo produced the smasher 1745 which is a tune built for the rewind, this track got snagged by the Dubstep community and was put out on the 100% democratic label Pressing Issues. Somewhere around this time Tyrant set up his second label Kursed Recordings, which has a host of talented artists on the roster such as Djunya, Metalbox and Dysfunktion.
More recently Tyrant has found himself producing tracks for Rottun Recordings for the harder side of Dubstep and Bisto Dubs which holds Innerlign and Tyrant's second instant rewind tune Intercom due to be released in Nov 2007. Tyrant also helps the running of Austin's premier dubstep events Weight and Heavyweight these highly successful shows pack in dubstep lovers from all over Texas, this fresh scene just keeps growing and Tyrant is an obvious force keeping it that way.
