Hatcha is Croydon's answer to Moodyman and has over 15 years of DJ experience under his belt. Hatcha is one of the first main playa's behind the word Dubstep and holds down a weekly show on London's Kiss FM and held down a job as A&R man and shop hand at the legendary Big Apple Records. He mixed the first Dubstep Allstars CD and volume 4 alongside Youngsta and gave FWD» it's mic man 'Crazy D' with who he has a show with, on KISS FM 100'!
DJG [Narco.Hz / Noppa / Pressing Issues / Subway]
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dean J. Grenier A.K.A DJG landed in the world of Dubstep in 2008 with his first 12" release on Narco.Hz entitled "Shadow Skanking" b/w "Joyful Sound". Discovering the Dubstep sound in 2006, Dean dove headfirst into production and quickly began to develop his unique sound as DJG. His music production style has been described as hyper-melodic and layered, full of groove and rich frenetic energy, while he blends dub and techno sounds with "basslines that sing". A multi-faceted producer, DJG's sound ranges from heady, deep and melodic outings to energetic dancefloor bangers. DJG draws influence from experimental and boundary-pushing sounds including everything from dub and techno, to the golden era of jungle, to the raw sounds of east coast hip hop, and the sound and vibes of jazz fusion. For the listener, an undeniable emotional connection emerges from the realm of any DJG tune, and the dancefloor cannot help but to be swept up by it. In 2007, DJG won a competition held by Pressing Issues Recordings on the internet forum Dubstepforum.com in which his track "Bender" was elected for release. DJG currently resides in the vibrant Lower Haight neighborhood of San Francisco, balancing a busy schedule between time in the studio, DJ gigs around the country and work as a freelance graphic designer. Joseph.Jr, also known as, DJUNYA is an eclectic producer focusing on the heavy tones of the British influenced DUBSTEP genre. DJUNYA passionatly started composing his music at a very young age. He continued to pursue his love for all types of music by studying drums and keyboards. Over the years DJUNYA has played with various live bands and worked on dub/beat projects across the United States. DJUNYA then began to DJ DRUM and BASS heavily in 1999. He was quickly noticed for his ability to program and cut mixes. His producing skills have been captivating listeners for a decade, and he has continued to move dance floors DJ'ing his Dubbed-out blend of BASS HEAVY BEATS... DJUNYA has been noticed internationally for DJ'ing sets on various internet & FM radio stations. He has also performed at various Music & Film Festivals including Sundance,Slamdance, Musefest ,Versus, Lunadance ,Burning Man ,Get Freaky ,Symbiosis Gathering, Lovefest, H.E.N.C.H., Superdubpressure, FreakCamp,SMOG Sessions , Pure Filth, Heavyweight, Sub.Mission, Freak Camp, Bassic, Bass Goes Boom, Fire, Shift, and X-Dance. JUS WAN [Narco.Hz / Apple Pips / Tube10 / Naked Lunch]
As a youth in Denver, CO in 1995, Jus Wan (fka Just:One) developed a passion for the scattered beats and pulsing bass of the era's UK imported jungle music. After moving to San Francisco in 2000, an association with Betalounge.com exposed him to the emerging sounds of 2step and broken beat. This lead to him founding the internet radio station Flux.fm, and joining the ranks at Future Breaks FM!. Having done the rounds at various club nights in San Francisco since 2002, he finally scored a residency at San Francisco's Narco.Hz dubstep monthly in 2007. Most recently, his productions have been signed to labels like Apple Pips, Tube10 and Naked Lunch with a track appearing on the Dubstep Allstars Vol. 6 cd. The tunes have been played by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, Appleblim, Martyn, Peverelist and Distance to name a few. His DJ sets are varied and contain everything from uptempo technoid flavors to glitched out low end frequencies with an emphasis on quality production and tight mixing.
