Err...out of curiosity, how was this done? Coz i know Mala isn't that keen on people recording his sets, for obvious reason.

I stumbled across it when looking for Sonar sets

its on a fair few blogs on t'net- none of which I'm connected to in any way and i did not record it (I couldnt even get there this year)

as its only 15 mins and just a taste, I didnt think anyone would mind if I shared the link, tbh it shouldnt be a huge surprise - Sonar sets from all DJ's pop up quickly ever year

First one is Stand by Quest, forthcoming on Mala's Deep Medi label I think.
Tune after Spongebob is The Clown or Law by Goth Trad, fc Deep Medi too.
The last tune is Mala's secret weapon and he's the only one who has it. Think it's called Forward into Future or something like that.

Court: The mix what FairiesWearBoots put the link on wasn't the same as MA played on her show. The mix that was here was the first 15 minutes of Mala's set in Sonar. It ended on Stand and MA's one started with Stand

yeah why's that?

prolly a coupla reasons.

1) he may be playing dubs that he doesn't want recorded.

2) i know a lot of djs (including myself) don't want unauthorized recordings leaking if they don't get to check them first. sometimes the sets aren't the best or there are technicals that prevent doing the best you can do, and in those cases, people don't want them released to the public.

Fair enough, makes sense I suppose - just would be nice to see more sets of him flying about the place
