atmosphere + soundsystem over anything.
Good night and a good soundsystem = perfect regardless whos on the list.

Dubstep is dubstep, you are gonna get the whole spectrum of it at all raves really,

but i usually look for the more techno influenced, roots, darker producers / djs on the list.

Its all about drinking 15 pints before and doing a couple of lines and taking your shirt off and start having it when the doors open at Mass.

yeah everyone loves a bit of that

tbh i prefer to get steadily more and more mashed over the night so that by the time it reaches 5.45 and dubloke comes over to say hello, i'm hunched up by the speaker having a hellishly introspective hallucination, whilst skanking out, at the same time as stretching my arms and cracking my neck all the time, but still having fun

sounds appealign doesn't it?

usually none of the above tbh, but i still enjoy hearing it, if it's not all that gets played which is getting to be the norm, particularly in sheffield :|

i love the more meditative tunes a la martyn, geiom, dusk & blackdown etc but also the wonkier side like joker and ikonika. but to be honest most of the time i just go for the atmosphere and in london especially, the community aspect. i managed to miss almost all of dmz through spending the whole night talking to various people. annoying in a way when the line up was so good but i still had a wicked time

There's so much variety in this music that I could go out and hear all dubstep every night for a week without getting bored if the DJs were representing the whole spectrum, it's just when people paint themselves into corners that it gets dull. I go for the music and the vibes, and all I ask is that it doesn't stick to the same little corner of dubstep all night. All bangers with the same template, the same beat and slightly different wobbles gets dull in a "hey, I wonder what the next tune's going to sound like" sort of way, but then so does all tasteful minimal tunes with the same slightly wonky kickdrum and the same dubby chords.

So yeah, mix it up you cahnts.

so i can wake up the next morning in a monumental amount of pain from skanking the night before.

(if the above doesn't happen the night has been a failure(unless i pull))
