Post by d-miz3 » Sat Jul 12, 2008 4:48 pm

why do people feel they have to be so negative to new producers.i just read the thread on the two notts producers, some of the comments people make are not needed instead of cussing em or taking the piss why not give em some constructive critisism.everyones got different taste init.

that thread was brutal, but the one huge post about where he broke down the tracks, i enjoyed reading that. anybody can bash anything, but that post actually broke it down.

new people come into the scene all the time. you cant expect everyone to know to search for common threads or know all the frequent questons. Its not fair.

As for being rude : What you put out there is gonna come back to you so : Keep that rule in mind.

So what if there are repeated threads. If you dont like it, change the channel. dubstep is only gonna get bigger so love it or leave it. you cont beat'em... you might as well join 'em and have fun while you can !!

i think the main problem with that thread was that the title of it implied that these 2 producers have MUST HEAR material, when in fact, they are just starting out. so, i think they brought some of the problem on themselves.

Not true. Depends on the artist....people are entitled to say something is shit whether it is by a new artist or someone established in the scene....As for it being closed to new producers when i posted up a bit of hype about Not In My Name a large thread with over 50 positive responses ensued...(http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.p ... t=thren%2A) If the music is good people will like it and people always want to be there at the start of something big!

wrong title. the issue is nothing to do with new producers as such, just the stream of imitation going on, backed up with the really shit defense,

"But it goes off in the rave."

Where's the quality control and new ideas? I thought the whole vibe was based on innovation, and deeep, cavernous bass? Not rehased imitations of other producers and midrange?

Maybe I'm getting old... maybe just as dubstep becomes more saturated with people having a go you have to dig a little deeper for the quality. either way, there's still plenty of good and bad, and people are entitled to voice their opinions - slanging matches can be amusing, and are, i suppose part of the creative process, but lets focus on the quality again, yeah?.

end.

Spot on.

I don't think there's hate for new producers. I think there's hate for a lack of quality and originality.

Its normal that 80 % is crap, so it cant br generalized. If someone would put up a tune like Lean Forward no one would moan imo. :)

if you make music, prepare to get criticized.

if you make music and share it on an internet forum, unless you're proper fucking heavy - prepare for the worst.

like i said many many times before, i only acted the way i did because some comments wasnt feedback, some was rude but iv already sorted this out so there is no need for everyone to bicker on...

im going to produce what i like...

some people are going to like it some arent, the fact is everyone should all get on because music isnt split into one culture, its in everones blood...

even tribes n shit have music that they create to bring everyone together or tell stories, everyone around the world has a type of sound that has a certain timbre and rythm, im not hating on the people who love the mellow dubstep becuase i like that to....infact i dont hate on anyone who likes a different sort of music, even crazy ass death metal music because music, to me, is a sound that should bring everyone together even tho the next dude dont like it, why should there be hate because one man dont like the same thing as the next man walkin down the street as him?

iv said sorry to all the ppl who i said there stnuc and nobs to. I got a little carried away because the sociaty i live in has made me the way i am, n me mates would really think wtf lol they would think im some batty man for sayin sorry n shit.....anyway now lets forget about it, put on some dubstep, (any style u prefer) kick back n relax because its better living like that then sitting infront of your computer deciding who to hate because he likes some next type of music....

i dont mind some dude quoting this n sayin 'what a load of shit' because thats just there opinion n i aint gonna waste my breathe and disagree with them......il accept their opinion and like them for that...

wow...wish i did this much in my english GCSE's lol (got a c lol) sfe dubstep lovers......peace and dub

listen man. NO ONE should have a say in what you feel like creating. create something that you like and thats it. if other people dig it, awesome. if not, continue doing what youre doing.
