Just think of a noun and mabey add a verb that sounds good :?

I haven't really got an alias yet from the publics point of view because i haven't released any work. but my mates know my alias as Slug Baron. I thought Brash Effect was a good artist name, and brought one of my tunes down at the time to my mates house with the track title slug baron. My mate got mixed up with artist and track title and later on said to me that he thought it was a memorable artist name so i kept it ...and that's my life story.

Just come up with something that means something to you.

Or if you're totally street, bruv, wot, yeah, wot?, oi!, you can just think of a word with Cs in it (innit?) and replace them with (wiv?) Ks.

Or you're street, but still want to appear somewhat cuddly and accessible, you can make a 5 letter name that ends with an A instead of ER.

I've got 9 (and counting) aliases and I ran out of ideas, so I just see what isn't already taken these days.

i´m teaching about the audio in film/tv. there has been a company named "western electrics" that sold the first films with audio. i live in the eastern part of germany and produce electronic music. -> eastern electrics :D

I just randomly tried to come up with something, and ended up finding out Powerhammer wasn't taken. It works great for the breakcore I usually produce.

Unless someone has a name that means something, I often think its a bit pointless. If your music is the shit then it won't matter what you're called, so if you feel like you're just plucking things out of thin air then use your real name.

I just read a book and pilfered the concept. And 'cos I'm well 'ard I added a 'K'. Just figure out something that means something to you and go with it. As has been said if the tunes are gash no matter what the name is to be honest.

My only advice would be: set yourself a deadline for choosing the name and stick to it.

I'm torn between sticking with an old idm name I used and just using my actual name.

See how it goes, there's lots of bad names out there.

its my last name, but with a z instead of an s... everyone calls me that in real life, so i stuck with it. when i first started posting on the net in like '96 i thought it would be more "internet cool" to use a z. then again i was like 13. haha
