Which Producer Are You Going To Rip Off Next?

Post by corpsey » Thu Jul 17, 2008 10:35 am

I see Anti Social are getting on that Mary Anne Hobbes money - I think it's time to start ripping them off.

Then again wonky is the new funky which is the old wobbly which was the new dark so maybe Joker's the one?

I was thinking I could combine the ''Snake'' from Snake Eater with ''Charming'' from The Smith's This Charming Man- kind of a Todd Edwards mashed up vocals flex (and then I'm ripping off Burial too, which makes alot of sense seeing as he's on that BBC taxpayer money and probably goes up in Natasha Kaplinsky's armpits while Hugh Edwards watches tearfully with his knob hanging out untouched beneath the newsdesk)?

I tried ripping off Benga before because Night is probably going to get used in a Haribo advert soon or something and I want that Haribo gash (it's only illegal if the light isn't out), but on me that haircut just makes me look like I should be in Oxford Circus searching through bins for pictures of George the Fifth.

Skream is always worth ripping off but at the moment he's going off in a few different directions and I don't know which style I should invest in. I reckon I'm going to wait for Skreamizm 5 to come out so I can see DJs rinsing it and then I'll count the number of gunfingers for each tune, multiply that number by eight thousand and that'll be the amount of P's I'll be making off a rip off of each particular tune.

Then again maybe I'll just do what I usually do, wait and see what Coki does next and then rip that off instead. I mean, ripping off Coki isn't that original as ripping off goes, but you can't deny that it's reliable.

It's going to be difficult working out who I'm going to rip off next, that's for sure. Being a producer is hard.

why bother when you could just rip off the rip offs?

why not take a shit reggae refix with a wobble beat under it and a clap on the third, and then add more wobble riffs and some additional shit reggae vocals?

possibly add some swearing from a film? people will think you're really hard then, especially your mum.

Or you could go out about town n record tube doors n boring stuff like that, add a kick n snare n the usual low end sub n call it Dubstep! Everyone will think your deep! Thats the happening sound atm so I'm told!

Yawn of a subject but Corpseys twist on it is always a giggle! Bigup you.

blackdown go learn how to quantize beats... all about the ganja legalize vocals and the midrange, that's what makes dubstep... dubstep!
