My soundcard is being a bitch and won't output through it, but I got a mate to analyse some tunes.

FWIW, Caspa & The Others - Well ‘Ard drops to 38Hz. Caspa - Louder and Rusko - Betamax get to 46Hz and Geiom - Reminissin' (Duplate Version) drops to 42Hz.

are you kidding? The Future is rediculous low. 40 hz is pretty damn low to me.

I used to work for a PA company, and i fired up Photeks' Terminus on a set of EAW SB850's, the breakdown that has the frequency sweep that just keeps dropping. the owner came running from the front office screaming that i was shaking his shelves.

Relocate - Dot Dot Dash, oh wait, we're still waiting for that one..
Martyn - Suburbia hits some low ones..
TRG - Generations (Breakage Remix) out this week..

but regardless what you play,

Check out Blackmass Plastics - Do the Mash! Shit is heavy! Anything from the EP actually, evil stuff!

Most of the stuff from Distance's album is super bass heavy too.

some Goth-Trad stuff is deep quality. Cut End/Flags also Distance remix of Far East Assasin. and turn up Peverlist - roll with the punches for low/subtle bass. Enjoy!

Waterfall analysis of the drop, from 20Hz-200Hz. From an uncompressed source, so it should be true to the original recording.

Still savage though, especially when you get a nice bit of harmonic distortion.

below about 35hz is virtually inaudible. lots of producers do a 40hz cut...

What you don't hear affects what you do hear in the audible spectrum, as is the nature of waves. And since when has it been all about hearing the music?

unfortunetly the clip on the page linked below doesn't have the big drop after the intro i was hoping, but if you can get the whole tune, it'll be a worthy contender of testing audio.

normally I would say this is untrue, but for testing the system I was looking at, you'd want the best possible source with the widest possible spectrum. When dialing in, I would say you would wanna do it right.

I have that track somewhere already - it wasn't about getting anal though, just impressing the crowd that invariably hang about before a gig gets going!

I have to say, all the tracks I tried did the job brilliantly in that respect, especially Bombardment of Saturn by Vex'd
