If that is the case, my heart is broken. Hopefully it will get cleared up before Friday, and if not, then by this summer sometime :-\

i just saw this on a myspace bulletin.

"As from The Bug and his Booking Agent:

Really bad news.

We heard back from US consulate today in London & Kingston. Despite all our best efforts in the last 3.5 weeks they're telling us that Marc/Flowdan won't be able to get his US work Visa for 4 weeks, and Annette/Warrior Queen won't be able to get hers until Monday 28th (obviously to late for these shows). The level of bureaucracy and hoop jumping on this has been ridiculous. We received the approval on June 28th and 4 weeks later this is where we're at.

I've discussed with Kev and both of us feel like just doing a DJ set isn't the way to launch The Bug in US.

So regrettably we're going to have to pull these shows.

Really sorry about the late notice on this. As of last week we really thought we could get Marc on as a back up plan, particularly as we got a really fast turnaround on Kevin's Visa, but it's not going to work out.

Let me know what sort of consequences this has for your nights or if anything has come out of pocket.

We're going to salvage the Toronto & Montreal shows as we did get CDN papers in time, so if you see those still advertised that's why.

Sorry all."

that sucks. i was sooo looking foward to this, and now i'm genuinely disappointed :baby:

out to Trouble and Bass. Frankly, I hope to hear from them personally about this on here. Even if it was just the T&B crew playing, it's worth the admission.

ive heard his tunes for a few years now as just records on a turntable and it didnt ruin it for me to not actually have warrior queen there live

my plan for parking always involves giving yourself at least 15-20 mins and enough gas to drive around the stupid washington sq ...around and around and around. always end up finding something...dont pay for parking though! thats way too stupid.

If there's a replacement show, I'd expect end of sept/early oct and Kevin is scheduled to be playing the decibel festival in seattle around then.

and i know about china town bus... but seriously its nuts riding that shizz for 5 hours and not bein able to smoke or smoke.... so i just drive myself up and shit!

and yeah if i got others in the ride i make 'em chip for gas & tolls... but for june dubwar i couldnt get anyone from the area to ride up w/ me... wtf!
