y'all mothafuckaz bite all our slang, ... ... so whats the dealio?
I think you've somehow misinterpreted what I've said. I'm not British, I live a near Chicago. Doesn't change the fact that I wouldn't be interested in listening to an American mc who went out of his way to sound British.

it's hard for anyone outside of london to get recognition in the grime scene, let alone outside of britian.

blud, thats the problem... why dont we all boycott dubstep and not buy the records cause you guys said 'its a london tin' yaddamean? why dont we shut down the dubstep forums becuase they reach outside london? If you guys out there would stop with that kind of mentallity and warring with us on these "stupid american" threads maybe, just maybe the music as a whole can sound even better and the shows could sound better. All Im sayin, is if u shut folks out of doin music based on where ur from, then u can potentially shut someone out who could create the most damaging track ever.. Im just tired of the warring and the 'there copying us threads'... most of us arent trying to pull a 'timbaland', maybe just like u guys we wake to what u guys also listen, produce it,dj it, etc. and its apart of our everyday life and subculture as well..

i don't think he was having a go, hes just kind of stating how it is... grime is very concentrated in london...

regarding your original point though.. you'll get haters what ever you do, simple fact. some people will love it, a lot more will hate it. and that goes for everyone and every genre across the board.

do it cos you love it and and do what you like, but do it in your own way. take those influences, add your own twist and get on with it. we can't give you a prepackaged style, and i hope thats not what your after either, do what you do for yourself and work to impress the crowds and all, don't worry so much about people hating on you for having this influence or that, if you doing it with flair and your own style you'll get acknowledgment for that in the end....

 Photek went shit when he moved to the US, but that's not the point.

US jungle/dubstep artists have failed to show that they can do their own version of it. It's mostly been poor imitations of UK/Euro styles, with few exceptions.

Show me an American dubstep producer and I'll show you a bad Coki ripoff.

I'm cool with Starkey and Vaccine, they're doing their own thing. The rest though... ugh.

nice edit lol.

dude, you are from a country the size of california with half the amount of people that live in my state alone. its cold there too right? i could endlessly now make dumb generalizations...

and so far, this thread has started and ended with amazingly stupid generalizations.

sorry.

enjoy what you enjoy. and again people, THE MAP IS NOT THE TERRITORY.. for serious apparently in this thread...

jungle & dubstep started in the uk primarily. their roots, evolution & offspring can be found everywhere around the world. if you LISTEN to the music, its always fun to be able to hear any regions distinct sound & style..

and then play with that..

I wish US producers would start embracing their heritage... soul, funk, detroit techno, chicago house... there's so much to draw from, but they choose to make bad midrange wobble instead.

Boggles the mind. :?
