is dubstep considered a DnB subgenre?
i was debating this with my friend the other day. with all of the DnB subgenres using the "step" suffix (darkstep, jazzstep, hardstep, whatever) would dubstep be considered a subgenre as well or is it a whole seperate entitiy? the influence in the sound is clearly there, but i feel like it HAS gone in its own direction and has taken on a genre of its own. thoughts?
its a UK Garage subgenre
well it was
well it was

Dubstep and DNB? HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Dubstep's a subgenre of Garage, if I remember. How, in any way, could it be a subgenre of DNB!
DNB is way faster than Dubstep, so I doubt there would be an adaptation of a genre slown down IMO.[/list]

People ask ridiculous questions some times. Why don't we have a forum to dump rediculous questions, instead of dumping them in the hideout? Maybe we should call it THE DUMP.

i couldn't care less about a 'scene'. it's just so frustrating to see people incapable of doing their own research; there's a wealth of info right here on this forum, all you have to do is go back afew years on these pages. when i joined this board i read around as much as i could, to learn as much as i could. the origin of the sound will then be pretty fucking clear.djfurness wrote:see the lovely Dubstep Forum sprit lives on.

why would u think such a thing, who is twisted enough to concieve such an idea.
i would have NEVER considered the thought of this until this thread, and im sure thats the same with many others.
in no way shape or form isit anything to do with DnB, but ur thread may be doing more damage then its asking about.
