Is there any dub steppin' in the dutch lowlands?

Can someone explain me why dubstep is so hard to find in the netherlands?
Even at Triple Vision [ the drum&bass store for years !? ] we have to do some serious crate-diggin' in hope to find promo's they do not like... !?
We go to Belgium or Germany to feel the pure low energy.
I do not mind because the foreign crowds are way above the zombie-squads over here, but it's a strange situation.

and DMZ prob going to do a gig in NL and Loefah and Plastician are playing on the Lowlands Festival and don't forget Osiris, who's doing some basspumpin parties in Amsterdam!

I buy 12" in Sirius Maastricht also. they always have a few copies of most of the tempa & hot flush releases. There was also one DMZ 12" a few month ago.

I think http://distortion.nl/ in amsterdam stocks some dubstep.
I've been there in november 05 and they had the "our sound" compilation. By that time there was no dubstep in stores in cologne nor aken.

I was in Ghent yesterday and today. No not for 10 days off, just to chill, but of course we ended op de Ghentse feestavond, checked pole pole, met some wonderful crazy Belgians.

Ghent's the best! Nice people, very nice beer and people know how to chill and how to rave. I did ask around for dubstep during the festival. Some people knew the music, but unfortunately there was none, or was there? Also didn't find a recordstore, but didn't really looked hard to find one. I did get a pair of very big PATTAS.

Anywayz I will definately come back to visit Belgium again and to hear some Belgian dubstep (heard big things of dour as well)

NOW, about the dubstep in our wonderful nation.
People talking about 010, talking about 070, no-one talking about 020 or 030??
Now whats that? We not gonna get hate in so early stage of dubstep now are we? we gonna follow the dnb way huh?

020 (amsterdam) = Oi @ Paradiso for quite some time now.
Also bimonthly every first saterday of the month now at Occii, we just did the first one on the 1st of July, next one's on the 2nd of september.

Also in Amersfoort (033 or what?

) on the 12th of august there's gonna be 'Breek' (Break) with some very nice dubstep, breaks and breakcore as well.

In utrecht (030)DMZ will land (&destroy) on the 26th of august on Impakt, nice festival which will last a couple of days.

Lowlands will get rocked with not only plastician and loefah, but also our dutch talents Charly & Gallus with mc krish

On the last saterday this month im gonna rock the dubz together with BIG dj G-selecter on a dnb rave and merk it, catch some souls u kno.

Lots more great ideas, plans and oppurtunities at the mo that need to be and will get worked out.

Holland's getting organised, so in a few months, the next time when u get here to get some delightful erbs, and your ashes fall of or joint, and u don't know why, itll be because of some serious badass dubstep basses somewhere in the country.

hehe, just read about that windmill thing.

but you're right, i don't know why it took so long. maybe becouse the dutch music mind is not that open.
but i think it's getting here now, amount of parties has been doubled in some months i gues, and dnb+dubstep parties are popping up like shrooms as well.

i know, at Impakt Festival Utrecht, @ Tivoli de Helling.
very very nice venue, big sound system (if used properly), nice atmosphere and all.

today there is a Dubstep feature in a national daily newspaper called NRC.NEXT
also with a bit about Dubstep in Holland:

www.dubstep.nl is a Dutch internetforum where the ins and outs of the genre are being discussed. Including productiontips, mixes and announcements of parties. The website will be launched on the 25th of august with a party at OT301 in Amsterdam, with Mala from Drigital Mystikz out of London and Dutch DJ's like Osiris and T-mus.

The Plastician and Loefah will be spinning on 20/8 at the Lowlands-festival in Biddinghuizen.

Digital Mystikz and Kode 9 are spinning on the 25th [but it should be 26th] of august at the Impakt-festvial, Tivoli De Helling Utrecht.
