funny i should find this tread today ,just last night someone was telling me that a guy was watching him mix in a bigapple tune and sAId to him

it's named after (and i imagine run by?) the big apple record store in croydon where a lot of the early producers met and exchanged idea/tunes etc

I heard they couldnt find any nice pictures of apple's so used a banana instead

someone told me it was because often when buying apples they turn out to be floury and unsatisfying. on the other hand bananas are more consistantly good. therefore drawing a parallel to the quality of big apples releases. big up big apple.
