I live in nyc and In the record store I just went to the dubstep is throwin in with the 2step & grime. They just don't know it's a genre yet, and they know it's UK stuff so they lump it all together. Note also the fact that grime most often has lyrics (not just vocal samples... lyrics) But hey what do I know... I been listenin to dubstep for oh... 2 weeks now? hahaclone.A.K. wrote:i'm from little town, northern california, and i don't get why dubstep is sometimes grouped with grime. i love both styles, but they are worlds apart many times. grime is like forcing you to nod to every beat, while dubstep is on the half. ???
