We've built a new, free mix hosting site!

A while back we launched the site and now mixeeba.com is back BUT we've scrapped allowing you to upload directly to our server.. this was cos:
1. Uploads weren't 100% reliable, some dropped, timed out etc
2. We couldn't do the upload progress bar as it would hammer the server during upload...
3. Uploads were killing downloads as the server was too busy to put out mixes when stuff was coming in.

Or you mean Dreamhost's procwatch will kill your process because memory usage will be too high? Or the fact 90mb is the highest you can uploading using dreamhost via HTTP.

So you now just WGET/FTP the file across from another website? Whats the average delay between me giving you the link and the file being uploaded to your site?

Pretty much. We state a maximum of 4 hours, but realistically its about 1 hour or less. Our bot which runs off and gets the mix, it's sites like megaupload/rapidshare that limit download speeds which takes the time.
