limiter / maximizer for mac somin like waves l2?

really need to find a plugin that i can use on my new macbook pro that will do the same job as my waves L2 plug in on my pc any one know whats good 4 the job?

As all Waves plugin do exist as OSX versions, i do not see a problem here.

Is that used to run a whole mix thru or just on some sounds?

definitely not a 'transparent' plug tho. it'll do more to the sound than just chop the peaks.

i generally run all my mixes through this, but not like a limiter. i don't slam it, because it's not really like tape, it just emulates it. so i will turn all my volumes down and then use this to boost it very slightly -OR- use this just to make sure no clipping occurs.
