ever lasting dubplates

yeh i think this subject has been touched up on already, but here goes anyway..

can anyone suggest the best place to cut ever lasting dub plates in london?
i'm mainly looking for cheap prices and good quality.. any suggestions and websites? cheers..

theres been a discussion on it in the past - i think the result was that they're not that amazing and real dubplates are better or something

Serato & Final Scratch are impressive - I can see how they can be usefull. But I'd rather have dubs any day - the fact that you have to go out of your way and spend a bit of money getting them done introduces an element of quality control. Also, they just feel that bit more special.

I've never had an "everlasting" dub cut (only acetate) but I do like the idea of them. I'm thinking of getting one done but I want to find out more about them first.

Jtransition stated in another thread that they were a step backwards - I'm interested to know why this is? Are there some inherant limitations in the materials used for the discs? are the lathes used just shite or what?

www.dubstudio.co.uk never used them myself but heard nothing but good things about them

To be honest i got some cut at dubstudio and was well pleased with the results. They sound bright and loud and play fine, just like any other vinyl. Thick and weighty as well.

Worth doing so you can play out some of your tracks....good value for ££'s in my opinion.

having said that no one can touch transition.

Yea, I've got 2 things pressed at www.dubstudio.co.uk - both times they've been very quick to deliver, and the quality has been great. Last time I paid for a 10" plate, but it didn't fit so Henry (the guy who runs it), just put it on a 12" for no extra cost... pretty nice thing to do!

I live in Canada, I sent him the tune online on a Monday, and I had it in my hands the following Thursday... pretty good turn around time, especially over sea's if you ask me!
