Yeah another Serato related question

This question has probably been answered but I have searched and cant find it. so sorry in advance lol

Im thinking of purchasing Serato along with a laptop, was wondering would this laptop be ok to run it on?

Its got 2gb of ram so what do you reckon?

Also whats the benefits of Serato over cdj's for you? one of my cd decks just broke so Its either get a new one or spend some extra cash and get Serato.

hmm it would be wise to try and get a lappy with xp. turns out my sister vaguely knows the guy who wrote the programme for serato

apparently u get a much smaller latency with xp etc etc. but yeah that laptop seems ok, maybe try something with more than 2.0 ghz clock speed?

I was reading up on the XP and vista problem but Ive heard as long as its installed as the 32bit version I should be ok. Its pretty hard finding a new laptop these days with XP I find due to them all being Vista

I'd try and get 3GB+ if you're going to get Vista as well. Processes it runs just on startup is ridiculous.

goood idea. have a look at the thinkpad range theres some good ones there and they all come with free xp downgrade

If you're still looking for a laptop running XP then try Novatech. They're still offering Lappys with XP Home and Pro.

You can't use more than 3 gig of RAM with the 32 Bit version of windows, either... heads up.

You can, but it only uses 3.5 gig, so the rest is wasted.

Bought my laptop, A toshiba one, 3gb.

And my Serato came today too so ima set that up later
