Curious to know bout the kinds of computers everyone is using for production.

Motherboard, soundcards, etc.

i have absolutely no idea what motherboard ive got, 1.2Ghz AMD athlon (get meh) 512mb of SDRAM 120Gb sample HD 80Gb Gb Programme HD Emu 0404 soundcard

i know released producers on worse set ups you dont need a state of the art computer to make decent tunes just hard work and originality

i agree with all ya. Buyin a top of the line system costs way too much $$$$.
im usin a P4 1.8 with a gig of corsair ram, 80 and a 300 gig drive, some junk dolby 7.1 surrond card (replacing shortly). Im bout ready to buy a midi controller (finally). doing bass without a controller is like pullin teeth with vicegrips.

Big ups to all the poor engineering crew!!!!

G5, dual 1.8, 1.5gb ram, dual 160gb HDs. Using built in-audio cos I'm not using my hardware right now.

not alot boss not alot, but seeing as your a bigtime producer with records coming out on Scuba you should be able to get a £1billion computer and all the vst's in the world

HP Pavilion dv5121tx notebook
-Windows XP Professional
-Intel Core Duo T2400
-2GB DDR2 SDRAM
-100GB HD


Mackie Spike USB audio and MIDI interface

Evolution MK-449C USB MIDI controller

a couple of external HDs

if only i could produce some good music.....

pentium 4 2.53ghz
1024mb ddr ram
gforce 4 ti4200 (for unreal tournament)
e-mu 1212m soundcard
gets the job done!
